The Sree Kanteswara Temple is one of the most famous temples in Thrissur. It is located in Varandarappilly in Thrissur district of Kerala. The presiding deity is Shiva. Lord Subramanian also the prime deity. It is a 1500 years old temple. After the raid of Tipu Sultan the temple had ruined and in 1092 Edavam 3rd, in Pooyam star, Kopparambil Kunjan Nambiar had renewed and made the Puna Pratishta of the deities.
